Responsibilities

Position Summary

 

The Program Development & Accreditation Department invites applications for the position of Program Development & Accreditation Specialist, beginning in August 2026.

 

This role supports and coordinates the full academic program lifecycle, working closely with academic leadership, institutional stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the quality, alignment, and continuous improvement of academic programs.

Operating in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment, the position requires coordination across colleges and institutional units and contributes to institutional academic quality initiatives and supports data-informed decision-making at College and University levels.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Deans and stakeholders to support curriculum development, program enhancement, and academic quality processes across Colleges.
  • Contribute to the development and review of academic programs, ensuring alignment with institutional requirements, external frameworks, and industry needs.
  • Support and enhance learning outcomes assessment and program review processes, including data collection, analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Coordinate accreditation and certification activities, including preparation of submissions, self-study reports, evidence mapping, and external review processes, aligned with international accreditation frameworks (e.g., AACSB, AMBA).
  • Support the management of accreditation activities, including maintaining documentation and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Coordinate external review activities, including accreditation visits, stakeholder preparation, and logistical arrangements.
  • Develop and manage data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting processes to support academic planning, accreditation requirements, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Liaise with Colleges and relevant institutional units to analyze program data and support reporting aligned with quality assurance and accreditation requirements.
  • Research, interpret, and apply external standards and frameworks, including benchmarking against comparable institutions, to support program development and accreditation activities.
  • Coordinate communication and provide training on curriculum processes, learning outcomes assessment, program review, and accreditation.
  • Support continuous improvement processes by tracking actions, monitoring progress, and contributing to follow-up activities arising from program review, assessment, and accreditation processes.
  • Participate in curriculum committees and support the progression of program proposals and curriculum changes through institutional governance processes.
  • Contribute to academic audits, quality assurance activities, and the maintenance of information within institutional systems.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field is required.
  • Professional certifications or training in accreditation, quality assurance, or higher education systems are considered an asset.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in higher education or within an education ministry or regulatory environment.
  • Background in academic environments involving curriculum development, quality assurance, or program review.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting international accreditation processes in higher education, including AACSB and/or AMBA accreditation cycles, is required.
  • Experience working with institutional data, reporting, or academic systems to support analysis and decision-making is an asset.
  • Experience working in complex academic or multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Teaching experience in higher education is considered an asset.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement processes or accreditation follow-up actions is an asset.

 

Language:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is preferred.
