The College of Engineering and Technology invites applications for Lab Analysis Assistant role.

Responsibilities

Your Commitment:

  • To support routine and specialized laboratory operations by performing sample preparation, testing, and analysis to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Perform accurate and precise analyses for a wide range of applications.
  • Ensure the functionality, proper maintenance, and calibration of all analytical lab equipment.
  • Manage corrective actions for nonconforming equipment and instruments.
  • Develop and validate analytical methods based on international standards (AOAC, EPA, ISO, ASTM, DIN).
  • Demonstrate competence in performing chromatography, spectroscopy, and titrimetric methods.
  • Display proficiency in various sample preparation techniques
  • Ensure adherence to UDST lab protocol and safety regulations.
  • Maintain lab records and documentation.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and complete procurement processes.
  • Reinforce good laboratory housekeeping practices.
  • Contribute to the ordering of equipment and consumables.

 

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from a recognized, accredited institution
  • Training certificates on analytical instruments

Candidates with an MSc. in Analytical Chemistry from a recognized and accredited institution are preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ technical experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a service ISO certified lab.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bilingual in English and Arabic is preferable
